Cheyenne Health and Wellness Center seeks self motivated individuals to work in the AmeriCorp VISTA program; team up to work in the Laramie County Prevention, Access and Treatment (LCPAT) project.
As
an AmeriCorp/VISTA member working in the LCPAT project you will be involved in community, volunteer and resource development.
  • Mobilize community partners to increase access to health care for the low income
  • Work to increase community awareness
  • Research funding opportunities to expand services
  • Work with medical staff to implement a national chronic disease care model aimed at the development of self management tools for patients
  • Coordinate model development and prevention programs with other safety net providers        
  • Conduct community meetings, develop outreach materials, develop program measures

Who are we looking for?

  • Individuals who can mobilize volunteers and develop partnerships
  • Skilled in writing, comfortable with public speaking, computer savvy
